Every Child Deserves Childhood — AIM Foundation's Fight Against Child Labour

Across India, and in countless corners of the world, millions of children are robbed of their right to laugh, learn, and live freely. Forced into labor at the cost of their education, safety, and dreams — they work in homes, factories, markets, and streets, hidden in plain sight.

At AIM Foundation , Kolkata, we believe childhood is not a privilege — it’s a right. And we are committed to breaking the cycle of child labour through action, compassion, and community.

 Our Mission: No Child Left Behind
Our multi-pronged approach to combating child labour goes beyond rescue. It’s about restoring dignity, building futures, and changing mindsets.

▪️ Rescue & Rehabilitation
In collaboration with local authorities and child welfare organizations, we identify and rescue children from exploitative labor situations. Our rehabilitation centers provide:

Safe shelter
Trauma counseling
Nutrition and healthcare
Bridging education
▪️ Education for All
We enroll rescued children in mainstream schools or bridge courses. We provide uniforms, books, and tutoring to ensure no child is left behind due to poverty or lack of support.

▪️ Community Awareness
We run awareness campaigns, street plays, and workshops in vulnerable communities to challenge the normalization of child labor. Parents, employers, and local leaders are sensitized about children's rights and the long-term harm of child exploitation.

▪️ Healthcare Access
Through regular camps and tie-ups with clinics, we ensure basic medical care for at-risk children, many of whom have endured unsafe and unhealthy working conditions.

▪️ Empowering Mothers
Poverty is one of the root causes of child labour. By empowering mothers through:

Skill training
Livelihood opportunities
Microloans and SHG (Self-Help Group) support
—we help families stay afloat without sacrificing their children’s futures.
